The YouMeVerse E12: Rituals, Duality, Transmutation, Siddhis and Bible Passages
Jeffrey begins by remarking on more finished creations in the YouMeVerse, including yoga mats and journals to be used during Metreats! Products will also eventually be featured on the YouMeVerse website.
Jeffrey shares an experience he had following a full moon ritual. He describes the energetic sensations in his body and heart center in the hours following the ritual.
Jeffrey and Odette discuss the role of rituals in the life of a conscious creator. They agree that rituals can strengthen belief and foster enjoyment but prefer to credit the power of rituals to the power within. They also remark on how people may give up their personal power to rituals or to other external objects and actions.
Jeffrey and Odette discuss their felt sense about dualistic versus non-dual worldviews. Dualistic philosophies are based on the idea of separateness while non-dual philosophies are based on the idea of unity. Jeffrey shares his experiential and heartfelt awareness of oneness during and following his deep meditations, while Odette reflects on the one-ness and connectedness that is expressed through basic physiology.
Odette asks Jeffrey what he means about “transmuting” energy. Jeffrey uses his own experience to illustrate how he was able to “transmute” or shift his conscious awareness from imposed, limited ideas of self to expanded awareness of self. He shares how everyone can transmute or shift their awareness and energy towards their desires, and how in his view this is the purpose of having a physical life experience.
Butterflies become topical several times in the podcast; Jeffrey and Odette explore the process of metamorphosis and liken the radical change from caterpillar to butterfly to spiritual transformations or transmutations within the soul.
Jeffrey notes the potential of each person to develop and control their consciousness, and Odette connects the abilities Jeffrey experienced through meditation to siddhis referenced in the Yoga Sutras.
Odette shares a passage from the Bible that relates to the existence of multiple experiences beyond the physical, and Jeffrey closes with an original appreciation-based passage from his journal.
