The YouMeVerse E13: The Benevolent Universe, RE-Programming and Affirmations
Jeffrey and Odette celebrate the creation of the new website www.youmeverseyoga.com and wish Watson “Bean” and Sue-She a happy birthday.
Odette shares how she has been enjoying listening to affirmation tracks overnight to help “reprogram” her mind with desired beliefs, and how she plans to make her own affirmation tracks to share with others.
Odette asks Jeffrey how he “reprogrammed” his mind, and he shares that he has used meditation to direct his awareness and reflections from others to confirm the trajectory of his awareness.
They both discuss how they do not watch the news, preferring to entertain themselves and to source information from places more aligned with them. Jeffrey shares that mainstream media has contributed to the current collective awareness and associated manifestations. He also shares understandings he gleaned from deep meditation about the current state of collective consciousness.
Odette shares how she enjoys allowing her body to move intuitively during meditation, and how this helps her build a relationship with her inner wisdom. She also describes her experience of feeling “stuckness” in her body, and how allowing herself to move and express organically helps release this “stuckness” and validate her emotions.
Odette muses about how organic expression might seem too feminine or “weird” to those embodying more masculine energy or in more masculine-dominant cultures. Jeffrey shares how masculine and feminine energies are conditioned ideas and how meditation can help free people from this conditioning.
Jeffrey touches on the use of exogenous (outer) substances such as drugs and plant medicines that people sometimes use to liberate their awareness. Both Jeffrey and Odette agree that exogenous substances are not necessary and should only be used as a bridge to open one’s awareness, if at all.
They both discuss the power of moving with the flow of life and Source as opposed to forcing things into place or asserting effort. Jeffrey describes what it feels like to flow with Source.
They briefly discuss videos that Odette watched of Ram Dass and Thich Nhat Hanh. Ram Dass’s message focuses on freedom in relationships. You can watch the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_F9TAyCJXNA . Odette shares mantras for relationships from Thich Nhat Hahn. Both Jeffrey and Odette invite your questions. Thank you for listening!
